چکیده فارسی:
نیاز شرکت ها برای پایداری بیشتر و درک اینکه چگونه ادغام سیستم های مدیریتی می تواند به این امر کمک کند، از انگیزه های این مطالعه می باشد.هدف از مقاله حاضر بررسی این موضوع می باشد که آیا بلوغ سیستم مدیریت یکپارچه منجر به عملکرد پایدار بهتری می شود. می توان انتظار داشت که افزایش سطح بلوغ ادغام در سیستم های مدیریتی منجر به عملکرد بهتری از نظر پایداری شود. اندازه شرکت نیز به دلیل اثر تعدیلگر بالقوه آن بر بلوغ و عملکرد پایدار ارزیابی شد. علاوه بر این، این نشان می دهد که آیا شرکت های بزرگتر به راحتی می توانند به ادغام سیستم های مدیریت خود و کسب پایداری دست یابند. یک بررسی در شرکت های برزیلی که حداقل دو مورد از گواهینامه های سیستم مدیریت زیر را دارند، انجام شد: ISO9001، ISO14001 و OHSAS18001. داده ها با استفاده از آمار توصیفی و آزمون های غیر پارامتری Kruskal-Wallis و Mann-Whitney مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفتند. با توجه به نتایج این تحقیق، شرکت ها می توانند عملکرد پایدار بهتری داشته باشند، اگر در یکپارچه کردن سیستم های مدیریت خود سرمایه گذاری بیشتری کنند. اندازه شرکت ها همچنین بر نتایج بلوغ گروه های کوچکتر تأثیر می گذارد، یعنی عملکرد محیطی و اجتماعی در شرکت های بزرگ تر بهتر است. در نتیجه، این کار نشان می دهد که ادغام سیستم مدیریت یک راه برای دستیابی به پایداری است و در حوزه های علمی و مدیریت کسب و کار نقش مهمی ایفا میکند . مطالعاتی که بر اساس چگونگی پایداری انجام می گیرد، می تواند حمایت بیشتری از شرکت ها داشته باشد و به آنها کمک می کند که بهترین راه برای رسیدن به پایداری را بررسی کنند.

Abstract
The motivation for this study comes from the need of companies to become more sustainable and to find out how the integration of management systems can contribute to this. The present paper aims to investigate whether the maturity of integrated management system is related to a better sustainable performance. It could be expected that an increase in the maturity level of integration in management systems would lead to a higher level of performance in terms of sustainability. Company size was also evaluated because of its potential moderating effect over maturity and sustainable performance. Moreover, it would indicate whether larger companies would find it easier to integrate their management systems and reach sustainability. A survey was conducted in Brazilian companies that presented at least two of the following management system certifications: ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001. Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics and the Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whiney nonparametric tests. According to the survey results, companies can obtain better sustainable performance if they invest in more integration of their management systems. The size of companies also affects the results of the lower-maturity group, that is, environmental and social performances are better in larger companies. Consequently, this work shows that management system integration is one way to achieve sustainability and brings a large contribution to both the academic and business management areas. Studies that focus on how sustainability can be reached give a greater support to companies, helping them to evaluate the best way to become sustainable.

Introduction
Different management systems can be insightful when answering the challenge of achieving sustainability. The maturity of management system integration can lead to better sustainable performance. The most recognized management systems in the whole world, which are related to sustainability are ISO9001 (Quality Management System), ISO14001 (Environmental Management System) and OHSAS18001 (Health and Occupational Safety Management System).
ISO 9001 application has shown a tremendous growth worldwide from 1993 to 2016, increasing from 46,571 to 1,106,356 certifications (ISO, 2017a). Considering the increased number of certification adoption and the greater variety of management systems, it is been observed that there is a trend to management systems to become more integrated.
When two or more systems are integrated, they are called an Integrated Management System (IMS). Integration may occur in different levels. Maturity models that aid the evaluation process are common in other fields of study such as Quality Management, Software Development and Product Development. The Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) designed for software is one of the best-known models, and many others have risen from it. According to Chrissis et al. (2003), the level of maturity helps the organizational improvement process with well-defined evolutionary steps.
