در این مقاله، ما تأثیر بهره وری نوآورانه را بر ارزش‌گذاری بازار یک شرکت بر اساس نمونه‌ای از شرکت‌های پذیرفته شده در بورس چین بررسی می‌کنیم. نتایج نشان داد که بهره وری نوآورانه به طور چشمگیری به بهبود ارزش گذاری بازار شرکت کمک می کند. ما نقش مهم تحلیلگران اوراق بهادار و سرمایه گذاران نهادی را در انتقال اطلاعات در مورد بهره وری نوآورانه و در نتیجه بهبود ارزش شرکت بررسی می کنیم. نتایج تجربی نشان می‌دهد که صنایع هایتک و حفاظت از مالکیت معنوی اثر تعدیل‌کننده مثبت و محدودیت‌های تامین مالی اثر تعدیل‌کننده منفی در این رابطه دارند. علاوه بر این، دریافتیم که بازده سبد سهام با بهره وری های نوآورانه متفاوت می تواند توسط بازار به درستی قیمت گذاری شود.

ABSTRACT
In this paper, we investigate the impact of innovative efficiency on a firm’s market valuation based on a sample of Chinese listed firms. We find that innovative efficiency prominently contributes to enhancing a firm’s market valuation. We examine the important role of securities analysts and institutional investors in conveying information about innovative efficiency and thus increasing firm value. Empirical results show that high-tech industry and intellectual property protection have a positive moderating effect, and financing constraints have a negative moderating effect. Additionally, we find that portfolio returns with different innovative efficiencies can be priced properly by the market.

Innovation activities are key drivers of a firm’s sustainable development and help maintain its competitive advantage in the market. Extensive studies discuss the impact of innovation on operating behavior, market value and stock returns as well as the underlying economic mechanism. Specifically, innovative input, R&D expenditure, output, patents and citations have positive effects on firm value among a number of economic, institutional, and social determinants (Chan et al., 2001; Gu, 2005; Cohen, 2013; Jiang et al., 2022)…
۴.Conclusions
In this paper, we investigate the effect of innovative efficiency on market valuations using a dataset for Chinese listed firms and find that the enhancement in innovative efficiency can promote firms’ market valuations, and innovative efficiency information is promptly reflected in market value. Our empirical results show that innovative efficiency may improve market values through the attention of securities analysts and institutional investors, who reduce information asymmetry. We find that firms belonging to hightech industries, with low financing constraints and high intellectual property protection, enjoy a larger advantage in the market from the improvement in innovative efficiency. Additionally, we discuss the implications in terms of stock returns. By constructing innovative efficiency portfolios, we find that these portfolio returns are properly priced using common risk factor models….
